Abstract
In this chapter, a solution method for the assembly-line balancing under
demand uncertainty is proposed. The project is included in Sikora [2021], which
is published in the European Journal of Operational Research. This chapter has two
purposes: the first one is to describe the development of the solution algorithm
and the tests that are included in Sikora [2021]; the second purpose is to provide
complementary content that is not included in the paper, such as some preliminary
tests and results on further developments.
